Nemiranda’s figures and colors highlight summer - INQUIRER.net, Philippine News for Filipinos: "The prominent painter/sculptor from Angono has been recognized by major art critics as the father of Imaginative Figurism. And this art idiom is now the theme and title of his new one-man show, May 8-12, at The Grove by Rockwell, along E. Rodriguez Jr. Avenue in C-5, Pasig City.

The focus on the human form, powered by imagination and creativity, yields new milestone works sure to attract both old collectors and new art buyers. On display will be such modern masterpieces as mother and child, family scenes, and slices of life in the Philippine village. “It’s the celebration of living,” Nemi fondly calls his May day show, “of feeling alive in one’s golden surroundings.”

His brand of realism remains as fiery as ever, with local colors that run the gamut, from earthen brown to lakeshore green to an assortment of floral colors. His sculptures resonate with the significance of the Petroglyphs—unique, prehistoric sculptures which can only be found in the caves of Angono."
