Wellness Series: Science, Religion and Spirituality in the Age of Aquarius by Ilsa M. Bohn

Wellness Series: Science, Religion and Spirituality in the Age of Aquarius by Ilsa M. Bohn: "Science, Religion and Spirituality in the Age of Aquarius by Ilsa M. Bohn
'Matter is the vehicle for the manifestation of soul on this plane of existence, and soul is the vehicle on a higher plane for the manifestation of spirit, and these three are a trinity synthesized by Life, which pervades them all.'1

Much has been said about the apparent conflict between science and religion. Viewed from a higher plane, there is in fact no conflict. While religion will continue to provide needed ethical guidance and direction as we progress into the Aquarian Age, science will unveil to us our genesis and reveal our Path of return." ARMM launches barter trading at Polloc port in Maguindanao - INQUIRER.net, Philippine News for Filipinos

ARMM launches barter trading at Polloc port in Maguindanao - INQUIRER.net, Philippine News for Filipinos: "COTABATO CITY, Philippines – The Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (ARMM) sees a bright business prospect ahead as it launched its maiden barter trading voyage at the Polloc Free Port in Parang, Maguindanao on Monday.

Made up of 23 Muslim entrepreneurs engaged in small and medium-scale trading, the first batch aboard M/L Aizalyn III, would have as its cargoes seaweeds, mangoes and flour, said Philippine Ports Authority regional manager Harry Mohammad.

The maiden voyage to the Sandakan port of Malaysia will have a travel time of three days.

“We hope to see more trips, more participation of our local investors in the future,” Mohammad said.

The revival of the ARMM barter trade came when Acting Regional Governor Ansaruddin Adiong assumed the post in December 2009 ordered the rehabilitation of Polloc port, long abandoned due to security problems and alleged high port charges and toll fees."

Wellness Tip for Peace: Music boosts AFP morale | The Manila Bulletin Newspaper Online

Music boosts AFP morale | The Manila Bulletin Newspaper Online: "A memorandum of agreement for the caravan, which promotes building convergence for peace and communal unity thru culture, music, and art, was signed Monday between Armed Forces spokesman, Brig. Gen. Jose Mabanta, Jr. and singer-composer and OPM President Ogie Alcasid (real name Herminio Alcasid, Jr.), who is also a commissioner of the People Power Commission, at the Hall of Flags at Camp Aguinaldo.

The caravan, dubbed “Building a Convergence for Peace: A Bayanihan Culture and HIMIGSIKAN 2011: ROCKrakan para sa Kapayapaan Concert,” will be held on April 27 at the Camp Aguinaldo grandstand.

According to the AFP spokesman, the event primarily aims to boost the morale and pay tribute to the Filipino soldiers for their heroism and sacrifices in defending the freedom and independence enjoyed by the Filipino people.

It also aims to inculcate the values of creativity, Filipino identity and traditions, and the peaceful aspirations of the Filipino people through musical expressions.

The caravan also supports the reform initiatives of President Benigno Aquino III's Daang Matuwid and the Reform, Peace, Modernization and Morale of troops (RPMM) program of AFP Chief of Staff Gen. Eduardo SL Oban, Jr. It will also promote the AFP's IPSP 'Bayanihan' among soldiers, their immediate community, and other stakeholders."

Wellness Tip for Peace: 'High' in Tagaytay | The Philippine Star >> News >> Entertainment

'High' in Tagaytay | The Philippine Star >> News >> Entertainment: "MANILA, Philippines - Tagaytay is the destination when one wishes to get away from the fast-paced city life and the scorching summer sun. One doesn’t need to travel far and drive long to get that much-needed break.

The perfect place to stay down south is the five-hectare Taal Vista Hotel where the past meets the present. One’s childhood memories of Taal Volcano, picnic grove and Tagaytay’s chilly warm weather come back like everything just happened yesterday. The best part, however, is one can share these with the younger generation.

“They have fond memories and you get to see them back here with their families,” says hotel GM Bernardo Corpus Jr. of Tagaytay and the experience that comes with it. “It is a perfect place for peace and quiet. Here, you commune with nature. You see the mountain (range) and the waters. You also feel the breeze. The air is still fresh. The wind is relaxing. It cleans your lungs.”"

Mindanao: peace and development

The Mindanao Examiner: "Just recently, the so-called ‘peace and development volunteers’ in the town finished a livelihood seminar on banana fiber production and were able to sell over P60,000 worth of products to Japan through the Banana Fiber Production Industry.

The seminar was made possible through the 66th Infantry Battalion which coordinated with AZTROPEX, an international exporter of banana products.

“This is the result of cooperation and understanding between the local government unit of New Bataan and the Armed Forces of the Philippines. We are thankful for the partnership that we have with the 66th Infantry Battalion and now we have nine villages that had been provided livelihood projects,” the mayor said."

Wellness Tip for Peace

Wellness Tip for Peace: "Five myths about vegans - The Washington Post: 'Vegans have countless rules about what can be eaten.

To vegans, it appears that meat-eaters are the ones with lots of rules. In the United States, people eat cows but not horses, and chickens but not cats. But among Hindus in India, cows are verboten, and in the Philippines and Korea, Lassie is on the menu. Some religions forbid eating pigs, while others don’t. In the face of these varying, often contradictory norms, vegans have only one rule: We don’t intentionally eat, use or wear anything from an animal — whether meat, leather, eggs, milk, wool, silk or honey.

If veganism seems to need an instruction manual, it’s because dead animals turn up in unexpected places. Most marshmallows contain gelatin, derived from animal bones. So do gelcaps and photographic film. Hostess fruit pies (but not Little Debbie’s) are made with beef fat. Dryer sheets have animal fat, too. Toothpaste may contain bone meal. And shampoo may have egg protein.

Sure, the list seems to go on and on. But at your chain supermarket, more products than ever are vegan-friendly. In 2011, it’s not hard to live up to veganism’s one simple ideal: trying to do the least harm possible.' pls check website for complete info"
